When my Grandmother passed away this past January we ended up being able to get her bed since no one else in the family wanted it and we thought maybe it would be nice to have a bed in our spare bedroom just in case we ever had someone come visit us from out of state and then they could just stay with us.

We put the bed up this spring, but what’s weird is that the mattresses don’t fit perfectly on the bed frame.  The weird thing was it never looked like the mattress was to short when it was at my Grandma’s and my Dad who took it down and brought it over doesn’t remember it not fitting right over there either.  Both Paul and my Dad looked over their “work” and can’t find out why it’s not fitting perfectly.  I’m just wondering if maybe bed frames aren’t all the same and there is something that they can do to shorten it that we can’t see?

For the last three weeks, Paul has been off of work due to him saving all his vacation and personal days so he could go hunting.  The sad thing is where is hunts they have a rule that if you shoot a deer (has to be 6 pt or better) then you are done for the year.  Paul shot his before he even started his time off so I was pretty much dealing with a depressed husband.  He was trying hard to find someplace else to hunt and he did find one place, but there wasn’t any sign of deer.  Then he got lucky and got another piece of land to hunt, but opening day of deer season he just about saw more trespassers than deer.  (Trespassers were leading till the last second)  So he started getting bummed again.  I have a good feeling that his days of being able to hunt at the first place are about over and I really wish we knew of someplace else close to home that he could hunt, it’s just that most places already have a bunch of hunters on them and they don’t want any more.

Anyways, enough about his sad story.  He was suppose to have today off, but it sounds like he will be going back to work as he can actually get some overtime for tomorrow!!  Usually he gets a lot of overtime all summer long, but for some reason this summer they were sending people home.  (He works at a food warehouse)  Then they are usually really busy these two weeks before vacation and he can usually work everyday, but not this year.  He feels lucky to maybe get overtime for tomorrow and really hopes they don’t call him and tell him he doesn’t need to come in for overtime.

So wish Paul luck.  It’s going to be hard to get back into the swing of work, especially where he works as they treat the men and women very poorly.  (And that’s with a union)   Now he just needs to buckle down and keep telling himself in 2 months 2 weeks and 1 day and we will be on our way to Disney!

What kind of computer do you have?  Do you have a Mac or just a normal pc?  I’ve heard that Mac take awhile to get the hang of, but once you do you tend to love them.  What makes them so different than a normal pc?  Does a normal pc have less memory than the Mac memory?  What does the Mac do that other computers can’t?  I told you I’m not that computer literate.

There are times when I’ve been shopping at our local mall when my feet and back are starting to hurt and I walk past one of those chairs that will massage you and always wonder if I should stop and try it out. The reason why I haven’t yet is I’m afraid once I sit down in it, I won’t want to get out of it as it will feel way to good.

We live in a fast paced world and we really need to take time to just relax, now you can do it in the comfort of your own home thanks to Takemi Select ! They are a wholesale outlet in Florida that sells massage beds & chairs!

If you have a loved one that comes home from work all stressed out and you don’t know what to get them for Christmas, maybe you could check out the Takemi Select Massage chairs.

They are currently having their Christmas time sale and they also have FREE shipping and will be any and all prices so now is the time to look!

Plus the added bonus of buying a loved one a massage chair for Christmas is that you also get to reap the benefits of having one in your home!

If you’ve never seen Aloha Friday then here is the run down from Island Life….

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought on Fridays I would take it easy on posting too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you would like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave the link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participates! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Now on to my question of the week:

When the price of gas was at $4 a gallon, did you change your driving habits?  If so, have you gone back to your old ways as gas has dropped?

I really didn’t change my driving habits to much when gas was $4 a gallon as I really don’t go that many places, usually it’s either to my parents or grocery shopping.  My husband on the other hand was thinking twice about if he really wanted to go fishing or not and would make sure he ran all his errands at once instead of going a bunch of different times.   Now that gas is $1.75 here, I’m not driving any more or less, but I do admit I don’t feel as guilty if I do go out and do something.  It’s just so nice to be able to fill up my car for $26 instead of $46!  I really hope these prices stay for awhile, but I’m not going to hold my breath.

First it was the maternity clothes that changed from being ugly to fashionable. Now I’m exited to say the nursing bra’s that are making the change as well!

I never heard of Condessa before, but after viewing their website I really wish I had when I was breast feeding because they have such a beautiful line of nursing bra’s with matching underwear!  Not only do you get a choice of 7 different colors, but you even can choose the style and if you want the lace look or not!

Looks is not just the only great thing about Condessa’s nursing bra’s, but according to the customer reviews they are also very supportive and comfortable which you and I both know means a lot.  You can either go with the Cassandra line which has the pearl snaps in the front, or you can go with the Veronica line that has an easy clip opening at the shoulder straps.  So the option is all yours!

I’m just excited for all the mom-to-be’s as they now can have a nursing bra that is supportive, fashionable and sexy!

If you are interested in learning more about the Condessa nursing bra’s, would like to read the customer review’s or are wondering where you could buy some, just visit Condessa’s website at http://www.condessainc.com/

I’ve always wanted to get Katie a pair of baby leg warmers as she loves running around naked.  When she was potty training I thought they would be perfect as she could have a naked rump, but her legs could still stay warm.  Now my thoughts and hopes are maybe, just maybe she would keep them on so at least her legs would stay warm since she likes to run around butt naked.  I thought maybe the cold weather would help her keep her pants on, but no such luck.

Right now, babySNAZZ is having a contest and will be giving away 20 pairs of baby leg warmers!  All you have to do is go to their website by November 30th to enter.  (Contest ends on the 30th)   You can earn more entries into the contest by blogging about her contest, hence why I’m letting my readers know!

If you enter and win due to my post… I do expect to be thanked with one of the 20 pairs you ended up winning.   ;)   Just kidding.. unless you really want to.

Since getting married, Paul and I agreed to not exchange Birthday or Christmas gifts as we really didn’t need anything and thought the money would be better spent on paying our mortgage off.  After all, what could be better than a paid of house right?

Then Christmas came last year and the kids started asking why Mommy & Daddy didn’t get anything. (Guess we were to naughty last year) So I told Paul this year we better start exchanging at least one gift and that we should take the kids shopping with us so they can help pick it out.  I was honestly surprised and excited when he agreed with me!!

So I asked him what he would like and he said just to get him some chocolates.
(He is a big time chocolateholic .. worse than any woman I know)  I told him we could do that, but I also want to get him a little something else… now i just have to figure out what.  Paul then proceeded to ask me what I would like for Christmas and without any hesitation,  I said a laptop!  You should of seen his eyes bug out of his head!  Here he was thinking of just getting a little something… $20 or less and I throw out a big ticket item.  (If you knew me, you would know that’s not me and just getting something $20 or less is)

I know there is no way we could afford getting me a laptop this Christmas as we have a big vacation we are saving for in February, but that hasn’t stop me from looking at all the ad’s every weekend in hopes of finding a screaming deal that can’t be passed on.   Of course usually with those deals they would only have only one or two in the store and once they are sold out, they are sold out so you have no chance of ever getting one.

So until I can save up enough money to buy my own laptop I just continue to try and figure out what kind I would like, how much laptop memory I would need and what other features I would like on it.  I know I want it to have wireless already on it as that’s the whole reason I would like one.  It would be so nice to be online while in other parts of our house (our computer is in our bedroom) or even better yet, outside on the porch!

Do you & your significant other exchange gifts?  If so, do you know what you will be getting them this year?  What are you requesting Santa bring you this year?

The 2008 Craftsman Truck Series winner….
Johnny Benson!!!

Johnny Benson Pictures, Images and Photos

For those that don’t know, Johnny won the Craftsman Truck Series last night by only seven, yes seven points! It was pretty much who ever came ahead in last nights race between him & Ron Hornaday would win the Championship. I am thrilled to say that Johnny came in 7th last night and Ron came in 8th, so talk about a close race and championship!
